Once the D4 is up and running it lets you create a schedule automatically or manually at any time. You can also make use of your voice to control it using Google Home or Amazon Alexa. And if you have an Apple Watch, you can start cleaning sessions with a simple tap on the wrist.
In our tests in the lab this model was able to clean well on both hard and carpeted flooring It picked up 91.3% of debris combined in serpentine pathways. However, it's not as great in corner and edge cleaning as other models. The side sensors keep the D4 approximately 1.5 inches away from walls. This is also iRobot’s most powerful vacuum. It is able to take out the dirt that has deeper particles or pet hairs that are larger, unlike other mid-range models like the Roomba 960. This is because the cleaner has larger brushes that rotate counterclockwise and an engine that has more suction power.
The Roomba 995 is iRobot’s least expensive vacuum, with recharge and resume. However it doesn't have the auto-empty feature that the I6+ or I7 offer. Robot Vacuum Mops lacks iAdapt 2.0 navigation and the camera that the I7 employs to track objects and avoid obstacles. It isn't able to access features such as in-app containment or save maps.
The iRobot isn't equipped with mopping capabilities. Although this might not be an issue if you only need a top vacuum, it's a major disadvantage for anyone who wants to use hybrid robots.
